Farming is the most healthful, Most Useful & Most Nobel employment of Man. Empowering small farmers is crucial for India’s food security followed by increasing crop yields and farmer’s incomes.
Being the second-largest populated country in the world, India’s food security depends on the production of diversified crops to meet the need of the growing population. Farming has always been a priority of The Helping Brother Cancer Foundation Trust since its inception.
About 70% of India’s population depends directly or indirectly on agriculture for livelihood. However, farmers in many areas of the country face challenges due to poor farming tools, unavailability of good irrigation facilities, old school machinery, the decreasing fertility of the soil, etc.
Considering the poor condition of farmers and no resource availability the Trusts has decided to coordinate with local agriculture universities and subject experts to develop specific, agricultural productivity and rural development.
